Itinerary
Enjoy this incredible hike through the beautiful valleys of Patagonia! A fantastic experience.
On this route, we will walk along rivers, learn about the work of beavers and peat bog formations. We will stop to admire the beautiful Laguna de los Témpanos.
We depart from Ushuaia towards the base of the Vinciguerra mountain range.
Upon arrival, we will put on the necessary equipment for the hike, crampons (if there is a lot of ice and snow) and trekking poles.
We will begin the hike through a valley, enjoying the pleasant sound of the river. Our guide will show us the beaver dams, which are the dikes built by beavers, and will tell us the story of these animals that were introduced to this region years ago and have had a strong environmental impact. We will also learn about peat bog formations, very common in this area.
Next, we will enter the lenga forest. Lenga and ñire trees are typical of Patagonia and offer beautiful scenery due to their unusual shapes. With the sense of peace provided by the forest, we continue our journey until we reach the base of a waterfall, where we stop for a few minutes to regain energy and enjoy a piece of fruit.
Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, we face a climb of more than one hour, encouraged by the magnificent views that unfold as we ascend.
Then, we reach Laguna de los Témpanos. This wonderful lagoon gets its name from the small icebergs that can often be seen floating in its waters. On the shores of this natural paradise, we sit down to enjoy a snack.
With our eyes full of beautiful memories, we return to the base of the mountain certain that we have lived a rare and unforgettable adventure.
