Itinerary
Enjoy this incredible hike through beautiful Patagonian valleys, a truly unforgettable experience.
During the route, we walk along rivers, learn about the work of beavers and peat bog formations, and stop to admire the stunning Laguna de los Tempanos.
We depart from Ushuaia towards the base of the Vinciguerra mountain range. Upon arrival, we put on the necessary equipment for the hike, including crampons (if there is a lot of ice or snow) and trekking poles.
We begin the hike crossing a valley, accompanied by the pleasant sound of the river. Our guide shows us the beaver dams and explains the history of these animals, which were introduced to the region years ago and have caused a significant environmental impact. We also learn about the peat bog areas, very common in this region.
Then we enter the lenga forest. Lenga and ñire trees are typical of Patagonia and offer unique landscapes thanks to their unusual shapes. Surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere, we continue until we reach the base of a waterfall, where we stop for a few minutes to rest and enjoy a piece of fruit.
Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, we face a climb of more than one hour, rewarded by breathtaking views that gradually reveal themselves as we ascend.
Finally, we arrive at Laguna de los Tempanos. This beautiful lagoon gets its name from the small icebergs that are frequently seen floating in its waters. On the shores of this natural paradise, we sit down to enjoy a snack.
With our eyes filled with unforgettable landscapes, we return to the base of the mountain certain that we have experienced a truly unique adventure.
