Laguna Esmeralda Sunset Trek – Summer

Tour Description

An adventure at sunset, when the day says goodbye and night appears with the glow of the moon among the mountains — a unique nighttime experience at the End of the World.

Route:

• Departure from Ushuaia via the Pan-American Highway (RN3)
• Orientation by Mount Olivia and the Five Brothers Mountains
• 5 km trek (10 km round trip) to the refuge at Laguna Esmeralda
• Guided by professional guides with equipment provided
• Arrival at the mountain refuge with:
  • Hot dinner
  • Warmth of a wood fire
  • Stars in the sky
  • Cozy mountain shelter

This experience allows you to walk through the Fuegian forests at night, awakening all your senses, surrounded by landscapes shaped by ancient glaciers.

⏱️ Schedule:

• 4:00 PM – Pick-up begins
• 5:00 PM – Trekking starts
• 6:00 PM – Arrival at the tree line
• 7:30 PM – Arrival at the lagoon
• 8:00 PM – Dinner at the mountain dome
• 9:30 PM – Return hike
• 11:00 PM – Arrival at the vehicle
• 11:30 PM – Arrival back in Ushuaia

Hydration:

• Trail water is not 100% potable
• Bring 1 liter of water per person
• The use of reusable bottles is encouraged

Insurance:

• All passengers are insured.

Mandatory:

• Activity contract
• Medical form filled out carefully
• Any specific medical conditions must be informed to the team
• The use of waterproof clothing and footwear is mandatory
