Tour Description
During the Fuegian summer, without snow and with gentle spring breezes, this tour takes you through a native forest to Laguna Esmeralda, ending at a mountain dome, where a hot lunch will be served in front of a wood-burning fire.
Departure is via National Route 3 toward the entrance of Ushuaia, passing by Mount Olivia and the Five Brothers Mountains. After reaching the Tierra Mayor Valley, the 5 km trek (one way) begins.
During the route:
- Crossing valleys formed by ancient glaciers
- Hiking among rocks and streams until reaching the refuge
- Lunch break with mountain stew and hot coffee
- Return with renewed energy and unforgettable landscapes
⏱️ Schedule:
- 9:30 AM – Pick-up begins
- 10:00 AM – Trekking starts
- 11:30 AM – Arrival at the tree line
- 12:00 PM – Arrival at the lagoon
- 12:30 PM – Lunch at the dome
- 2:00 PM – Return
- 4:30 PM – Arrival at the vehicle
- 5:00 PM – Arrival back in Ushuaia
Hydration:
- Trail water is not potable
- Bring 1 liter of water per person
- The use of reusable bottles is encouraged
Insurance:
- All passengers are insured.
At the time of booking:
- Activity contract signature
- Mandatory medical form
- Any special medical conditions must be communicated in advance
- The use of waterproof clothing and footwear is mandatory
