King Crab Route with Penguin Colony Navigation + Lunch and Visits

We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning to begin a unique experience towards one of the most authentic and least explored corners of Tierra del Fuego.

HARUWEN

Our first stop will be at the charming Haruwen Winter Center, where we will visit the Vintage Motorcycle Museum and the 3005 artisanal gin distillery — an emblematic place for those who travel to the End of the World and appreciate experiences with strong local identity.

ROUTE J AND CERRO CORNÚ VIEWPOINT

We continue along the legendary National Route No. 3 and then enter the picturesque Route J, a scenic road surrounded by preserved nature.

We will make a special stop at the Cerro Cornú Viewpoint, from where it is possible to contemplate one of the highest mountains in the province and observe the impact of beavers on the Fuegian ecosystem.

At this location, we will enjoy an outdoor snack, in full contact with nature.

PUERTO ALMANZA – EXCLUSIVE NAVIGATION

We arrive at Puerto Almanza, the southernmost village in Argentina connected by road. From there, we begin an exclusive navigation in a small boat, ideal for a closer and more personalized experience, quite different from large commercial vessels.

Navigation Description

We depart from Almanza port and sail through Brown Bay heading east. Along the way, we spot sea lions with one and two fur layers, as well as several bird colonies. Then we cross Paso Guaraní and reach Martillo Island, home to Gentoo and Magellanic penguins, observed in their natural habitat.

We remain for a few minutes in front of the island — the perfect time to observe the animals’ behavior and take photos and videos.

LUNCH AT PUNTA PARANÁ – A’KUM RESTAURANT

We continue to Punta Paraná, where we will enjoy a three-course Fuegian lunch at the renowned A’Kum Restaurant, known for its seafood-based cuisine and its privileged view of the Beagle Channel.

DWARFS WATERFALL (CASCADA DE LOS DUENDES)

After lunch, we will visit the charming Dwarfs Waterfall, a magical place surrounded by native forest. Before leaving Punta Paraná, we will make one last stop to admire the landscape.

RUCA KELLEN FARM

Our final visit will be to Ruca Kellen Farm, where we will learn about the family’s history and their dedication to keeping local production alive in one of the southernmost environments on the planet.

At the end of the tour, we will return to your accommodation in Ushuaia.
