Itinerary

On this tour, you will enjoy a spectacular walk in the very heart of the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the most iconic and breathtaking landscapes of Argentine Patagonia.

This unforgettable experience begins at Bajo de las Sombras Port, where we board a 15-minute boat navigation across the Brazo Rico arm of Lake Argentino. Upon arrival, we get incredibly close to the glacier, allowing for an immediate sense of its immense scale.

Our mountain guides lead the group closer to the ice, where crampons are fitted and the approach trek begins. Once on the glacier and equipped with crampons, the scenery transforms completely: deep crevasses, intense blue lagoons, sinkholes, ice caves, and the unique sensation of standing at the center of a living glacier.

During the approximately 3-hour ice trek, guides provide explanations about glaciology, local flora and fauna, and the specific rupture phenomena of the Perito Moreno Glacier. At one point, we sit directly on the ice to rest and enjoy a snack, surrounded by mountains—an experience that is both rare and unforgettable.

After the break, we continue trekking back to the starting point, remove the crampons, and descend toward the port. We then return by boat, carrying with us an extraordinary adventure.

The experience concludes with a visit to the Perito Moreno walkways, where we admire the glacier from the front, observe its striking blue tones, and photograph it from a wide panoramic angle—watching how it rises from the lake to the mountaintops before returning to civilization after one of the most impressive ice treks in the world.
