4×4 Balcones de Calafate with Lunch or Dinner

Board our 4×4 vehicles and enter Huyliche Estate. After approximately 2 hours along the trail, you will reach an altitude of 950 meters above sea level at the Balcones del Calafate.

From this panoramic viewpoint, enjoy breathtaking views of the Argentine Lake, the town of El Calafate, the origin of the Perito Moreno Glacier, and the Fitz Roy and Torre mountains, iconic landmarks of El Chaltén.

Visit a late Cretaceous sedimentary rock site with fossilized wood fragments, shark teeth, and marine oysters, evidence of ancient marine incursions.

The route includes several viewpoints and stops, ideal for photography and spotting native wildlife such as condors, eagles, and foxes.

Later, explore the hillside with an optional 20-minute walk among unique rock formations, erratic blocks, and the Patagonian steppe shaped by glaciation 85 million years ago.

The tour concludes at our refuge, where you will enjoy a warm welcome and a traditional lunch or dinner with included beverages.

Meals include typical Patagonian dishes: bife a la criolla served as a sandwich or on a plate, with water, soft drinks, and wine included.
Dinner option is available only from October to April for the 6:00 PM departure.
