25 de Mayo Ranch Afternoon + Dinner Show

The 25 de Mayo Ranch spans 17,000 hectares and is located just steps from downtown El Calafate. This historic ranch offers a peaceful escape to enjoy the landscape at the foot of Cerro Calafate, providing an opportunity to discover the rural side of the Patagonian frontier.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with traditional mate, regional coffee, and fried pastries while learning the history of the ranch and its activities in the early 20th century. Experience a live sheep-shearing demonstration, along with a presentation on wool production and the intricacies of this trade, including details most visitors rarely consider.

Guests will explore the authentic Patagonian ranch, including historic buildings, old tools, the ranch’s plant nursery, and the organic vegetable garden used for farm meals. At the “Mirador del Arroyo” area, guests enjoy a tasting of mountain wine paired with confit lamb.

Following this immersive experience, the tour continues to “El Quincho” restaurant for a traditional dinner accompanied by a live folk music and dance show. Guests are warmly greeted with an appetizer and rustic bread with sauce. The dinner menu includes a Creole empanada starter, Patagonian lamb, sausage, rustic potatoes, and salads, finished with a choice of dessert. This unique afternoon and evening experience combines history, culture, gastronomy, and live entertainment.
